CO2 control
At the discretion of the staff in charge of the control, and with the consent of the driver, the vehicle is opened to allow a visual check.
CO2 probes are used in order to detect carbon dioxide in the trailer. If the result is negative, the CMR is stamped "CO2 Check" and the vehicle is directed towards the Freight Check-in.
Should there be any suspicion that stowaways are present, authorisation will be requested to board the vehicle for further investigation. If the driver refuses access, the vehicle will not be authorised to travel.
