Frequent Traveller Fare Terms and Conditions

1. Availability

1.1 The Frequent Traveller Fares are valid for travel for single journeys “Off Peak”. For travel during “Standard Peak” or “High Peak” times, a supplement will be payable. For details of Off Peak, Standard Peak and High Peak times and supplements payable please refer to the Eurotunnel Website or the Contact Centre.

1.2 The Frequent Traveller Fare cannot be upgraded or transferred to any other Eurotunnel ticket.

1.3 Bookings for travel using Frequent Traveller Fares are subject to limited availability and early booking is advisable.

2. Registration

2.1 To qualify for a Frequent Traveller Fare, a customer must register as a Frequent Traveller and open an Account. A minimum of 10 Off Peak single journeys must be paid for in advance at registration.

2.2 Accounts cannot be opened at Check-In.

2.3 The payment will be shown as a credit for 10 Off Peak single journeys in the Frequent Traveller’s Account. Credit will be deducted once bookings are made.

2.4 When opening an Account, the country of residence will determine the currency in which all payments are made. This includes any subsequent supplements payable in accordance with clauses 1.1 and 4.3. If the United Kingdom is selected when opening the Account (“a UK Account”), all payments will be in pounds sterling. If France or any other country is selected when opening the Account (“a French Account”), all payments will be in Euros.

3. Use of the Account

3.1 The registered Frequent Traveller will be given an Account Number and password, which is personal to the Frequent Traveller and must not be disclosed to any other party. The registered Frequent Traveller must travel on all bookings made using the Account.

3.2 Where payment on opening an Account has been made by cheque, bookings can only be made from 7 days after opening the Account. E-Cards are not accepted.

3.3 The credit in the Account is valid for 12 months from the date the payment is made. Any unused credit will expire 12 months from the date the Account is opened and will not be refunded. Bookings (and any amended bookings) must also be made and travelled on by the end of this period.

3.4 Once an Account is opened, further credit cannot be added. However, customers may open more than one Account.

3.5 Frequent Traveller credit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

3.6 Credit cannot be used to pay for any other products or services (e.g. Pets or Insurance) except for Frequent Traveller Bookings.

3.7 Frequent Traveller Fares and credit cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.

3.8 Any applicable supplements shall be made in the currency of the Account and shall be payable by credit card only.

4. Bookings

4.1 To travel using Frequent Traveller Credit, the Frequent Traveller must make a booking in advance of travel via the Eurotunnel Website or the Contact Centre. In order to make a booking the Frequent Traveller must quote their Account number and password. The Frequent Traveller will be given a booking reference. Bookings cannot be made at Check-In.

4.2 Frequent Traveller Fares are only valid for a car or a van. Supplements will be payable if you are planning to travel with a minibus, campervan or motorcycle or are towing a trailer or caravan. Supplements are also payable for pets. Please refer to the Eurotunnel Website or Contact Centre for details of the relevant supplements which may vary.

4.3 Any applicable supplements are payable at the time of booking in addition to the payment made when opening the Account. Supplements cannot be paid using credit from the Account.

4.4 Bookings can be amended up to 24 hours prior to travel (subject to availability). If the amended booking is for travel during Standard Peak or High Peak times then a supplement will be payable in accordance with clause 1.1. If the amended booking is for travel during Off Peak times and the original booking was for travel during Standard Peak or High Peak times then any supplements paid will be refunded.

4.5 If a booking is cancelled, your Account will be credited with the amount of credit used to make the original booking. Any supplements paid will be refunded.

5. Travel

5.1 Where payment for opening the Account and for any supplements has been made by credit or debit card, the cardholder must also be the registered Frequent Traveller and must present the relevant card on arrival at Check-In, along with the Account Number and the booking reference relevant to the booking. The relevant card means the card issued to open the Account or where supplements have been paid, the card used to pay for those supplements.

5.2 The Frequent Traveller must present his/her driving licence or passport on arrival at Check-In.

5.3 In accordance with Eurotunnel’s Ticket Terms, bookings are only valid for the booked departure time and the vehicle type stated. These can be amended (subject to availability) up to 24 hours prior to travel as set out in clause 4.4.

5.4 You should arrive at Check-In at least 30 minutes (but not more than 2 hours) before your booked departure time. If you arrive at Check-In outside this time your booking is not valid. However, it may be possible to transfer your booking to the next available departure, subject to availability. The booking may be transferred subject to payment of any supplements due, for example, if the next available departure is for travel during Standard or High Peak times and your booking is for Off Peak travel.
